What's the difference between working with Burke Consulting Group as an organization versus as an individual?

Organizational work usually involves a broader engagement, including performance management systems, Talent and recruitment systems, leadership training, or coaching for a specific executive or team. Individual work typically consists of a single assessment and coaching conversation, sometimes with a few follow-up sessions.

How long does an executive coaching engagement usually take?

It depends on what you're working on. Some clients need a handful of sessions around a specific transition; others prefer an ongoing relationship over several months. We'll talk through what makes sense in the initial conversation.

What happens after I take the Birkman Assessment?

You'll get a full report, and then we'll schedule time to go through it together. The report on its own can be a lot to interpret. The coaching conversation is where it actually becomes useful.

How is the Birkman Method different from assessments like Myers-Briggs or DISC?

Birkman includes something the others don't: it looks not just at how you tend to behave, but at what you need from your environment, and what happens when those needs go unmet (often experienced as stress behavior). That makes it more useful for practical things like individual and team communication and conflict.

Do you work with companies outside of healthcare, manufacturing, and higher education?

Most of my direct experience is in those industries, but the performance management and leadership training work applies broadly. Happy to talk through your specific situation.

Is this available virtually, or only in person?

Both. Assessments and coaching sessions are regularly done virtually. In-person seminars and workshops can be arranged for teams in Utah and beyond, depending on the engagement.
